Technical Information

Tiny Trainset uses Three.js for 3D graphics and runs entirely in your browser using WebGL. All settings are saved locally—we don't collect or store your configuration data.

Privacy & Data

Your train simulator settings are stored only in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device. We use Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics and Google AdSense for advertising. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why isn't my train moving?

Check that the train is set to "Running" (not paused) and that your speed slider isn't at zero. You can also try refreshing the page.

Can I save my custom track layout?

Yes! Your track configuration is automatically saved in your browser's local storage and will be there when you return. Use "Reset to Defaults" to start over.

Why is the site running slowly?

3D graphics can be demanding. Try turning off shadows, closing other browser tabs, or using a different browser. The site works best on desktop computers.

Can I share my track design with friends?

Yes! Click the "Copy Share Link" button to generate a URL that includes your current configuration. Share the link and others will see your setup.

Is there a mobile app?

Not yet! Tiny Trainset is currently a web-based experience. It works on mobile browsers but is optimized for desktop and tablet screens.

Do you plan to add more features?

We're always considering improvements! Contact us with your ideas. Potential future additions include: more track pieces, tunnels, bridges, multiple trains, scenery objects, and weather effects.
